borgo rizza

Recently I got to work with Marginal Studios in Borgo Rizza, a small abandoned village created in 1940 under the fascist regime in the Sicilian countryside. I created this site specific installation during my time here, meant to subvert the space that holds remnants of Italian fascist propaganda, and to consider the ways that us humans project ideologies onto the land. This video is an expression of our need to re center and assist in regenerating the land - shown through a projection in the shape of a shelter holding images of the land around and inside the village onto the insides of one of the abandoned buildings.
